Chairman of the Board of the Notary Chamber of Georgia met the Newly Appointed Notaries
The Chairman of the Board of the Notary Chamber of Georgia, Ms. Marika Gogoladze met with newly appointed notaries. Five more notaries have been appointed under the Order of the Minister of Justice of Georgia in the following municipalities: Adigeni, Borjomi, Mtskheta, Signagi and Kaspi.
Adigeni was the last municipality without the notary office. Two notaries will serve Borjomi, Signagi and Kaspi as the large municipalities. There are three notary offices in Mtskheta, which consists of 63 settlements. There is no municipality in Georgia where the notary service is not available.
Ms. Marika Gogoladze congratulated the nomination to the newly appointed notaries and noted that holding the position as the notary was of great responsibility. They had a chance to serve their country in the settlements where it was mostly needed.
The notaries have been also introduced the novelties planned in the notary system. They will be trained in the Training Center of Notary Chamber to be granted the functions of mediators and the authorized notary.
The notaries have been serving as mediators in civil disputes since 2013. From August 1, 2016, mediator - notaries are actively engaged in the simplification process of agricultural land registration and up to 500 disputes have been solved with their assistance.
From 2014, the notaries provide the registration of property rights in parallel to the National Agency of Public Registry.
