The Chairman of the Notary Chamber met with newly appointed notaries

The Chairman of the Board of the Notary Chamber of Georgia, Ms. Marika Gogoladze continues the meetings with newly appointed notaries as a result of the notary reform. Today she visited the notaries appointed in Tsageri and Vani Municipalities and got acquainted with their activities on-site.

There was no notary in Tsageri for more than 8 years. The notary service in this municipality became available from 2016 as a result of the notary reform initiated by the Minister of Justice.  The Notary was appointed in Vani in 2016, after one-year interval.

Under the reform, the notaries were appointed in municipalities and settlements where there was no notary service available and they should serve the local population for three year term. Today the notary service is available on the entire territory of Georgia.

One of the main priorities of the Head of the Notary Chamber is the promotion of newly appointed notaries in their activities. She studies the colleagues' activities, their problems and assists them in solving these problems. Such meetings shall promote the valuable work of notary offices in the municipalities.
