The Notaries met the population of Kachreti

The Notary Chamber of Georgia continues its action: “Fee Legal Advice” for the population of municipalities at this time. The meetings are held in Public Centers.

The first action was held on July 14 at the Mikhaestate Public Center (Kobuleti region). On July 19, the meeting was held at Kachreti Public Center (Gurjaani Municipality).

One of the main issues of the meeting was the notary mediation. The notaries introduced the advantages and procedures of notary mediation to the population. Within the frames of the Law “On the Perfection of Special Rules and Cadastral Data on Land Rights Systemic and Sporadic Registration within the State Project”, the disputes on the agricultural land are settled by the mediator notaries that further simplifies the property registration procedures. The service of mediator notary is free and disputes must be resolved no later than 3 weeks. Since the enactment of the law, over 200 cases have been settled by agreement. Most of the settlement acts are issued in Kakheti region.

The population has received the legal consultations on other issues interesting to them: what should they know not to incur losses, not to lose the property, to timely receive the succession, to protect their own rights and etc.

The goal of the action is to increase the legal awareness of the population. Citizens really need the legal education. One of the main reasons for the loss of property, becoming a victim of transaction, often rudiments, is the lack of knowledge of legal issues.
