The First Discussion Platform on Issues on Land Administration and Management among the State Authorities was held March 6, 2017 The first discussion platform on issues of the land administration and management among the State Authorities was held on March 2 with the support of EU Project “Support the Development of Private and Administrative Law Systems in Georgia”. The goal of this arrangement was to exchange / discuss the information on problems and challenges related to the land registration among the authorities. The public debate was attended by judges, lawyers, the representatives of the National Agency of Public Registry, the Notary Chamber, National Bureau of Enforcement, National Agency of State Property, Architecture and Property Management Service of City Hall, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Agriculture and Environment. |

The Legal Consequences of Enforcement Order was discussed at the Special Meeting February 21, 2017 The offsite work meeting was held in Telavi among the representatives of Notary Chamber of Georgia, Tbilisi Court of Appeals and the National Bureau of Enforcement. The parties discussed the legal consequences of the enforcement order issued by a Notary during the court proceedings. A notary was granted the authority to issue an enforcement order since 2009, but the notary issued it only upon the pledge or mortgage agreements until 2012. In 2012, the competence of the notary increased and he/she had the right to issue an enforcement order on the basis of any contract related to the financial obligations. If a contract is concluded in the Notary, the condition of issuing the enforcement order is included in the agreement upon the consent of both parties. |

The Notary Chamber of Georgia responds to Nika Rurua February 6, 2017 The Notary Chamber of Georgia is concerned about the offensive remarks to the Notary Corps made by the member of “National Movement” Mr. Nika Rurua. The Member of Parliament referred the notary system as “Notary Office” where the government’s willingness is met without appeal. Each notary act approved by a notary is based on National and International Laws and the free will of the people who apply to the Notary to sign the Act. The Notary Chamber of Georgia and Georgian Notaries call the politicians to refrain from the insulting statements. |
