The Chairman of the Board of the Notary Chamber of Georgia, Ms. Marika Gogoladze met with the notaries appointed in Ambrolauri and Oni.

The notaries in the mentioned municipalities were appointed in 2016 as a result of the Notary Reform initiated by the Minister of Justice of Georgia.

From today, the notaries shall be actively involved in the pilot project on land registration system and provide onsite service to the population of 12 villages. Implementation of the project started from the village of Manglisi.

The pilot project is the second stage of the State Reform on Land Registration initiated by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia implemented by the National Agency of Public Registry. Involvement of notaries in this process will significantly simplify and accelerate the land registration process.

The Chairman of the Board of the Notary Chamber of Georgia, Ms. Marika Gogoladze continues the meetings with newly appointed notaries as a result of the notary reform. Today she visited the notaries appointed in Tsageri and Vani Municipalities and got acquainted with their activities on-site.

The Notary Chamber of Georgia continues its action: “Fee Legal Advice”. The meetings have been already held in Public Centers of Mukhaestate, Kachreti, Chakvi and Kabali. At this time the Notaries met the population in Koda where one of the main issues of the meeting was to conclude a deal. The notaries introduced the advantages of the notarial agreement to the citizens. The following was emphasized in the meeting: “the notary equally defends the interest of any contracting party, she/he explains the rights, obligations, contents of the agreement, warns the parties what consequences may result from non-fulfillment of obligations. She/he will herself/himself register the mortgage agreement in the Public Registry and there is no need for the citizen to apply to the Public Service Hall or the National Agency of Public Registry. In case of failure to fulfill the contractual obligations, the notary will issue an enforcement order and the citizen will not appeal to the court”.
