The Chairman of the International Union of Notaries met the Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Parliament of Georgia

The Notary Chamber of Georgia hosts the Meeting of General Council of the International Union of Notaries. Within the framework of the meeting, the Chairman of the International Union of Notaries, Mr. José Marqueño de Llano met the Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Ms. Eka Beselia. The parties discussed the ways of development and future cooperation of Georgian Notary System at the meeting.

As Mr. José Marqueño de Llano noted the Notary Chamber of Georgia was one of the active and leading members of the International Union of Notaries. “The Notary Chamber of Georgia has big achievements, not only we share our experience with them but also take from them”, said the Chairman of the International Union of Notaries. “The Chairman of the International Union of Notaries noted that Georgia was the leader. This is the best assessment of our notary system and good support for the reforms implemented in the Georgian Notary System. We talked about activating further cooperation in the legislative field” - noted Ms. Eka Beselia.

The Notary Chamber of Georgia became a member of the International Union of Notaries in 2007. The Notary Chamber of Georgia not only regularly participates in international meetings and conferences, considers the recommendations of the Union of Latin Notariat, but hosts the international conferences as well. Last year, one of the large-scale conferences was held so successfully in Georgia that the meeting of General Council was decided to be held in Georgia this year. Within the visit, there are planned the meetings with the Minister of Justice of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia and Spanish Law Institute of Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
