The First Discussion Platform on Issues on Land Administration and Management among the State Authorities was held

The first discussion platform on issues of the land administration and management among the State Authorities was held on March 2 with the support of EU Project “Support the Development of Private and Administrative Law Systems in Georgia”. The goal of this arrangement was to exchange / discuss the information on problems and challenges related to the land registration among the authorities. The public debate was attended by judges, lawyers, the representatives of the National Agency of Public Registry, the Notary Chamber, National Bureau of Enforcement, National Agency of State Property, Architecture and Property Management Service of City Hall, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Agriculture and Environment.

The participants had the opportunity to discuss the problems related to the land registration in the current work process, in particular, there was discussed the defects arising during the land registration that delayed the auction process to be conducted within the enforcement proceedings; separation of land plots and registration of inappropriate zones; land reform and related issues; land disputes and notary mediation and etc.

Holding similar events will be continued with the support of European Union project in the current year. Discussion platform shall promote to improve the business coordination among the authorities and reduce the land disputes, eliminate the problems in the land registration process.
