The Internship Competition for Notary Candidates was held

The competition for interns was held at the Training Center of the Notary Chamber of Georgia. 110 candidates were registered for the competition. The applicants passed testing in general skills.

Passing the internship in the Training Center of Notary Chamber of Georgia is one of the necessary conditions to occupy the position of a Notary. The Interns shall undergo the theoretical and practical courses during eight months. After the completion of both courses, the interns shall thoroughly know the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills for notary activities.

Under the Order of the Minister of Justice, the notaries shall be appointed in the following areas where there are no still notary offices or notary services are not properly available.

Terjola, Vani, Adigeni, Aspindza - these municipalities are still without a notary. Martvili, Lanchkhuti, Chiatura, Kaspi, Dusheti, Tetritskaro, Akhmeta, Sagarejo, Kvareli, Signagi - notary services are not properly available in these municipalities. The notary will be also appointed in the village of Kachreti.

The notary reform started by the initiative of the Minister of Justice of Georgia in December 2015 still continues successfully.  In 2016, the notaries were appointed in 16 municipalities.
