Seminar for notaries

The seminar - "peculiarities of the enforcement order issued by a notary” was held for notaries with the organization of the Training Center of Notary Chamber of Georgia.

Seminar was held by the representative of National Bureau of Enforcement of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, Eka Akhalkatsi and the Judge Ketevan Meskhishvili.

The notary has been granted the authority to issue an enforcement order since 2009, but until 2012 the notary issued it only upon the mortgage agreements.  In 2012, the notary’s competence increased and at present the notary can issue an enforcement order based on any agreement related to money obligations.

While concluding the contract at the Notary, the condition of issuing an enforcement order shall be included in the contract with the consent of both parties and if one of the parties fails to fulfill the assumed obligations, the aggrieved party can obtain the enforcement order directly from the notary and he no longer has to go to the court.

The purpose of the seminar was to reveal the defects in practice and refine them at issuing the enforcement order. Similar seminars contribute to increase the efficiency and quality of notary services on which the Training Center of the Notary Chamber of Georgia permanently cares.
