The Notaries were introduced the legislative innovations related to financial monitoring

The representatives of Financial Monitoring Service informed the Notaries about the amendments made to the Law of Georgia "On Facilitating the Prevention of Legalization of Illicit Income" and Regulation "On Rules of Obtaining, Arranging, Processing the information by the Notaries and delivering to the Financial Monitoring Service of Georgia”.  The seminar was organized by the Training Center of the Notary Chamber of Georgia.

Legislative changes are provided for the improvement of international standards and the Law “On the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing”.

Pursuant to the Law, the Notaries use the power within their competence for fighting against the money laundering and terrorism. Accordingly, the mentioned legislative innovations provide the security of notary activities, in particular, transactions.

Training Center of the Notary Chamber of Georgia constantly provides the advanced training of notaries. With the organization of Training Center, the notaries are systematically informed about the legislative innovations related to the notarial activities.
