Tea Tsulukiani transferred the computer equipment to the Notaries

The Minister of Justice Ms. Tea Tsulukiani transferred the computer equipment to 37 notaries in the municipalities. Supporting the notaries acting in the mountainous areas and municipalities is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Justice. That’s why the Notary Chamber and the Ministry of Justice often support the acting Notaries in the municipalities to arrange and provide the computer equipment in the notary offices.

The increase of notary service availability is one of the main priorities of the Notary Chamber. There are still municipalities in Georgia where the notary office is not available or there is only one notary to serve the community. Local residents have to go to the nearest municipal center which is associated with additional expenses.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Justice and the Notary Chamber will support at most the acting notaries, as well as the candidates to be appointed in the mountainous areas and in the municipality. They need to be motivated and to have all the conditions to fully implement the notary activities.

Pursuant to the amendments to the Law "On Notary" prepared by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, the Notary Chamber will provide financial assistance for the newly appointed notaries for three years and they will be released from all taxes according to the Tax Code. The support includes notary office rental costs, technical equipment, financial assistance and etc. Accordingly, the newly appointed notary will have all the conditions for successful implementation of notary activities.

Pursuant to the amendments to the Law "On Notary",  the candidate willing to hold office as a notary will be appointed for three years in the settlements where the notary service is not available.

This legislative change will support the employment of local staff in the municipalities and settlement of the population in mountainous areas.
