The Notary Chamber introduced the Draft “Notary Practice Direction” to the Judges

The Notary Chamber introduced the draft “Notary Practice Direction” to the Judges. The meeting was attended by the Judges of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Tbilisi Court of Appeal and Tbilisi City Court and Representatives of German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The mentioned project is an explanation of the instruction "On Rules for carrying out Notary Activities" that will simplify for the notaries to implement the statutory provisions in practice.

The goal of creating the Direction is to avoid the different understanding of instruction rules and to establish a common practice in the performance of notarial acts.

This project is supported by GIZ. The Direction has been developed last year and the representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia are actively involved in the preparatory process.

After studying the project, the Judges expressed their opinions and made offers .

The Notary Chamber will gradually introduce a draft “Notary Practice Direction” to the notarial system-related agencies.
