Notary Chamber of Georgia demands the public apology from Nika Gvaramia

Today, regarding the application made by Nika Gvaramia and Zaal Udumashvili in the air of "Rustavi 2", the Notary Chamber of Georgia explains the law for the attention of applicants’ authors. There was statement on illegally certified notary act (Power of Attorney).

In particular, according to Civil Law, the power of attorney is one-sided deal when a person (or several persons) unilaterally expresses his intent before a notary. Thus, by expressing the intent, a certain person will be assigned certain powers.

To inform the trustee is not the competence of the notary and moreover, the law is not familiar with such obligations.

Therefore, neither a signature of the trustee / attorney is needed in the notary document nor to clarify the will of the trustee while certifying the power of attorney according to notary laws.

Accordingly, the Notary Chamber of Georgia demands the public apology from Nika Gvaramia and is ready, if necessary, to provide a legal advice to him on this issue.
