THE PRESIDENT OF THE NOTARY CHAMBER OF GEORGIA PARTICIPATED IN AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF NOTARIES

The President of the Board of the Notary Chamber of Georgia Nino Khopheria participated in the International Conference of Notaries in Barcelona.

The topic of the Conference was legislation for 2014-2016, in particular supervision system for notarial practice in Europe, certification, authenticity of notary acts including notary actions related with foreign countries and cooperation between notaries.

One of the issues considered at the Conference were the results of the International Conference carried out in Tbilisi, Georgia, on the 12^th-13^th of September, 2014. In Barcelona the given Conference was positively assessed positively and the delegates thanked the Minister of Justice of Georgia Tea Tsulukiani and the Notary Chamber of Georgia for the organization.

The Notary Chamber of Georgia became the member of the International Union of Notaries in 2007. Notary legislation of Georgia, the principles of the notariat system is based on the model of the Latin notariat. Since 2007 the Notary Chamber of Georgia actively cooperates with member countries of the International Union of Notaries and hosts international conferences. Systematic cooperation promotes development of the Georgian notariat and even more active introduction of the principles of the Latin notariat.
