GEORGIAN NOTARIES AT AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Representatives of the Board of the Notary Chamber of Georgia (Vice-President Marika Gogoladze, Board Members Nargiza Jankhoteli and Tinatin Devdariani) participated in the notary conference held out in Lithuania. The Conference “Lithuanian Notariat – a Bridge between the West and the East” was dedicated to tenth anniversary of Lithuanian EU membership.

Marika Gogoladze, the Vice-President of the Notary Chamber of Georgia, presented a report at the conference “Distribution of Positive Experience of the EU Notariat in Georgia and its Influence on Notary Activity”. She also shared the experience of the Georgian notariat with the colleagues and reported on the reforms implemented for the last years.

Since 2007 the Notary Chamber of Georgia is a member of the International Union of Notaries (UINL) and is actively cooperating with notariats of different countries. Representatives of the Georgian notariat not only participate, but also host international conferences. In Georgia international conferences were held out three times. The most significant one was held out this year in September and attended by 60 representatives of notariats from 15 countries (Switzerland, France, Italy, Greece, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Moldova, Estonia, Armenia, Lithuania and Russia). Most of participating notariats are UINL members.
