GIZ DELEGATION VISITED THE NOTARY CHAMBER OF GEORGIA

German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) visited the Notary Chamber of Georgia. For three days members of the GIZ delegation (GIZ Programs Director, Vice-President of the Notary Chamber of Germany and a notary) will examine the notary system in Georgia, activity of the Notary Chamber of Georgia.

Today the guests met members of the Board of the Notary Chamber. The President of the Board Nino Khopheria introduced the regulation on appointment on notaries in Georgia and reforms implemented for the last years. At the meeting special attention was paid to electronic services, introduced in Georgia since 2009.

The Vice-President of the Notary Chamber of Germany Richard Bock introduced the structure of the notariat system and the regulation on appointment of notaries in Germany.

The Notary Chamber of Georgia cooperates with the German Society for International Cooperation for several years. The last year the GIZ rendered significant assistance in introduction of the institution of notary mediation and plans to assist the Notary Chamber of Georgia in implementation of future reforms as well.

Tomorrow GIZ delegation will visit notary bureaus and on the 02^nd of July will examine the activity of the Training Center of the Notary Chamber of Georgia.
