MEDIATION CERTIFICATES WILL BE ISSUED TO NEWLY APPOINTED NOTARIES

Newly appointed notaries are attending workshops in notary mediation.

The workshops are carried out by the “Georgian Mediation Center” together with a Polish expert Mediator Machei Tanski. Notaries will pass a stage-by-stage training.

Notary mediation is an alternative method and a simplified form of dispute regulation. The dispute is regulated without legal proceedings, only with assistance of a notary. This service was introduced in Georgia since 2012. A notary implements the function of a mediator in inheritance, family, neighbor and other material and nonmaterial civil disputes. After regulation of the dispute a notary makes a notarized document, an act of agreement, where duties and liabilities of each party are defined.

With notarial assistance the disputing parties regulate any disputes easily, cheaply and in a comfortable environment.

With organization of the Notary Chamber the notaries, engaged in mediation nowadays, have passed substantial training and several facts of implementation of the mediation process have already been registered.

After the abovementioned workshops mediation certificates will be issued to newly appointed notaries. They will learn substantial mediation principles and advantage; reasons of conflict and methods of elimination; actions of a mediator and each stage of mediation process technologies.
