VANI AND ASPINDZA WILL HAVE OWN NOTARIES

According to the decree of the Minister of Justice notaries have been appointed at the Vani and Aspindza Regions. These are the regions, where a notary bureau did not operate for years and the local population had to go to neighbor regions for notary service, which was related to additional expenses.

In November of 2012 population of 14 regions of Georgia were without notaries. According to the initiative of the Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani the campaign “Become a notary of your region” was launched. As a result of informing of the population of the region and active work with notary candidates nowadays notary service is already available for the population of 10 regions out of mentioned 14. Additionally notaries were appointed in the towns and regions, where the number of notaries was insufficient. For instance before 2014 in Poti, Dusheti and Kvareli there was only one notary bureau and in Lagodekhi before 2013 there was only one notary.

The following regions are still without a notary: Oni, Mestia, Ambrolauri, Adigeni, including Keda, where notary resigned in May of 2013. All notary candidates, who decide to work as a notary in mentioned regions, will have maximal assistance. At the notary qualification examination such candidates will be exempted of the payment, this sum was paid by the Notary Chamber of Georgia instead of them. Meanwhile the Notary Chamber assists newly appointed notaries, working in regions, in organization of the notary bureau and with technical and material base.

The active campaign is still on. In the nearest future notary service will be evenly available for any citizen in the territory of Georgia.
