NOTARIES WILL REGISTER AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVES
Todat at the National Agency of the Public Registry tripartite cooperation memorandum has been signed regarding registration of agricultural cooperatives. The Memorandum was signed by the Chairman of the National Agency of the Public Registry of the Ministry of Justice Papuna Ugrekhelidze, acting President of the Notary Chamber Lali Gzirishvili and Chairman of the Agricltural Cooperatives Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture Giorgi Misheladze.
The purpose of the Memorandum is development of cooperation between the institutions, assisting to simplification of registration of agricultural cooperatives. According to the Laws “On Entrepreneurs” and “On Agricultural Cooperatives”, agricultural cooperatives, as legal entities of private law, are registered by the National Agency of the Public Registry of the Ministry of Justice. The authority on registration of an agricultural cooperative is also conferred to an authorized notary. If necessary notaries will notarize the charter of an agricultural cooperative and the Agricultural Cooperatives Development Agency confers the status of an agricultural cooperative.
After delivery of the status entrepreneurs will have a right to use privileges and state assisting programs envisaged in the law.
Interested persons should present the following documentation to the Public Registry for registration of an agricultural cooperative:
- Application/agreement of shareholders;
- Document certifying payment of the service fee
After the registration entrepreneurs should appeal to the Agricultural Cooperatives Development Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture to get the status of an agricultural cooperative and to present the following documents:
- Document certifying the authority;
- Document certifying existence of owned or used property;
- Charter of the agricultural cooperative.
