DEPUTY MINISTER OF JUSTICE FAMILIARIZED WITH ACTIVITY OF THE TRAINING CENTER OF THE NOTARY CHAMBER OF GEORGIA

Today Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia Aleksandre Baramidze has visited the Training Center of the Notary Chamber of Georgia and got familiarized with its activity. Nino Tsikhistavi, the Head of the Training Center of the Ministry of Justice, also attended the meeting.

The Training Center of the Notary Chamber of Georgia was established in 2010. The main function is training of notary probationers, enhancement of qualification of notaries and their assistants.

60 probationers trained at the Training Center of the Notary Chamber have alsready been appointed as notaries and are successfully engaged in notarial activity.

Nowadays 33 probationers are under the training process (practical course) at the Training Center.

Probation at the Notary Chamber of Georgia is one of the obligatory conditions to occupy position of a notary. Probation period makes eight months and includes theoretical and practical trainings. After termination of the both courses a probationer has substantial knowledge and practical skills necessary for notarial activity.

The Training Center of the Notary Chamber trains notary assistant according to the same principle. At the courses for notary assistants theoretical training (legislation related to notarial activity), effective skills and practical course at a notary bureau is stipulated. After successful completion of the training course, data of the graduates are placed on the webpage of the Notary Chamber, in the register of assistants to notaries. A notary selects the assistant from the given base. 14 graduates of the Training Center are already employed at a notary bureau.
