NOTARY APPOINTED IN AKHMETA

Today the management of the Notary Chamber of Georgia met newly appointed notaries and introduced them the procedures necessary to start notary activity.

At the meeting the standards of organization of a notary bureau, efficient service of the citizens, obligatory insurance of professional liability of notaries and registration of notary actions in the electronic register were discussed.

According to the Decree of the Minister of Justice of Georgia for the last year five new notaries were appointed. Four of them will start working in regions (Gori, Dusheti, Akhmeta). Since October of the last year the population of Akhmeta does not have a notary and in the Dusheti Region one more notary was appointed.

The majority of notaries appointed in 2013-2014 delivers notary service in towns and regions, where there had been no notary bureau or the number of notaries was insufficient.

Seven more regions (Vani, Oni, Ambrolauri, Aspindza, Adigeni, Mestia and Keda) are still without notaries. Under the initiative of the Ministry of Justice very soon each region of Georgia will have a notary and notary service will be evenly available for any citizen.
