BECOME THE NOTARY OF YOUR REGION

The Notary Chamber of Georgia started meetings with regional population. Representatives of the Chamber and notaries have already visited Oni, Ambrolauri, Aspindza, Adigeni, Vani and Kedi population and delivered information regarding notary qualification examination.

According to the decree of the Minister of Justice the notary qualification examination is appointed for the 10^th of February, 2014. The qualification test is one of the obligatory conditions to occupy position of a notary.

Representatives of the Notary Chamber have thoroughly explained examination conditions to the regional population and distributed informational booklets. Meanwhile they also informed on the privileges stipulated for local staff stimulating the will to become a notary in your own region.

Oni, Ambrolauri, Aspindza, Adigeni, Keda, Vani, Mestia are the regions, where notary bureau does not work for several years. One of the most important priorities of the Ministry of Justice and Notary Chamber of Georgia is to make notary service available for population of all regions. Any citizen of our country should be able to get notary service without spending extra expenses and time.

Majority of notaries appointed the last year implement their activity in towns and regions, where there had been no notary bureau before or number of notaries for insufficient for proper service of the population.

The Notary Chamber of Georgia helps notaries appointed in regions in organization of a notary bureau, technical equipment and efficient implementation of the notary activity. Meanwhile the candidates, who decide to occupy position of a notary in regions, which have no notary bureaus nowadays, will enjoy special privileges. At the first stage they are exempted of the fee for the qualification examination (150 GEL).

 Nowadays there are 248 acting notaries in the territory of Georgia. In compliance to the decree of the Minister of Justice the maximal number of notaries is 300. Therefore 52 more persons with legal education have a chance to occupy position of a notary.

Residents of the regions, attending the meeting, welcomed the initiative of employment of the local staff and demonstrated their will to pass the qualification test.
