SEMINARS FOR NOTARIES

Today the Training center of the Notary Chamber of Georgia started seminars for notaries. The seminars are carried out by employees of the National Agency of the Public Registry.

The topic of the seminars is “Submission of an Obligatorily Notarized Application for Mortgage Agreement to the Electronic Registry of Applications and Rights”.

Since the 28^th of January, 2014, in compliance to the amendments to the Civil Code a mortgage agreement based on a loan agreement shall be notarized (this condition is not applied to banks, microfinance organizations and deposit institutions).

Additionally to notarization of a mortgage agreement notaries should also provide registration of the mortgage in Public Registry. The purpose of the seminar is simplifying registration procedures for notaries. The training will be passed by all notaries acting in the territory of Georgia.

Therefore a citizen visiting a notary bureau will get notary service easily and comfortable and will be able to make and register a mortgage agreement without leaving a notary bureau.
