THE BOARD OF THE NOTARY CHAMBER OF GEORGIA SUBMITTED A REPORT ON THE ACTIVITY FOR THE LAST YEAR
The Board of the Notary Chamber of Georgia submitted a report on the activity for 2013 at the General Meeting of Notaries.
The last year the main priority of the activity of the Notary Chamber of Georgia was growth of availability of notary service. For this purpose new notaries were appointed in towns and regions, where there had been no notary bureau before or number of notaries was insufficient for proper service of the population. Notary service should be available for any citizen in the territory of Georgia and he should not spend extra time and money to get notary service.
One more important issue of the last year activity was introduction of notary mediation. Notaries acquired a new function: a mediator of civil disputes. It means that citizens can regulate disputes of civil character in a more cheap and simple way with assistance of a notary instead of the court.
Functional loading of notaries, growth of availability and simplification of notary service jointly significantly increases efficiency of notary service.
In the report of the Board of the Notary Chamber special attention is also paid to events, implemented for development of international relations. The Notary Chamber of Georgia became a member of the International Union of Notaries in 2007 and takes active participation and hosts international conferences and meetings. In autumn of 2014 a notary conference of member countries of the International Union of Notaries will be held out in Tbilisi.
The General Meeting of Notaries also approved the budget of the Notary Chamber for 2014.
